Good Times Memories

Last summer I had a whole vacation week in Papudo with all my family… My parents, my brother and my grandparents, even my girlfriend was there!
It was an amazing week and the house had a wonderful view. The house was in the border of the beach and it was in a private place, so no one can disturb you, the place even had a private beach and a pool, it was amazing.

The most beautiful thing was to wake up every morning, open the window, take a deep breath of fresh air and look at the open sea!

I took it when we were about to have lunch… the sun reflection in the water looks great, and the waves of the sea are very pretty, in the morning you could see the sailing boats going to open sea and in the evening returning.

The thing that I love of this picture is that it was a really great moment with my family, being all together enjoying this amazing view all day was just great.

I think that sometimes you don’t like the picture by itself, but because of the meaning that it carries, moments make us happy and we print them forever in pictures. J

This is one of my good times memories.

Technology These Days

I think technology helps a lot in these days in very useful ways, for example, you can contact really fast with people that isn’t around, you can search for information really quick and if you need to send information to someone you can do it in that exact moment.

Things moves faster these days, and you have to catch up if you don’t want to lose any bit of information, that’s the main reason because a have an iPhone. I bought it about one year ago and it has been very helpful in a lot of situations and it had solved me a lot of problems in a moment.

I can connect with people everytime, via mail, chat or just calling them, I have a lot of information storage in my iPhone that could be helpful some times and I even have class texts that I can see whenever I want. It helps a lot if you are bored too; it has a lot of games and apps that you can check.

The other piece of technology that I really, really like is my PlayStation 3. I bought it 3 years ago and it has been very cool. It brings you another exit way from your reality; you can play a lot kind of games and hang out with your friends with it. If you put your PS3 in English it’s a way to learn too; because you learn and read English in a real and interactive situation.

The interesting thing about technology these days is that it brings you another platform to interact with people and the world. If you mix this new way of interaction with the old ones it could be a very powerful tool but in my opinion it doesn’t supports by itself because is too impersonal.

If you use it the right way it can be a part of you too!

A Fun way to learn

The BBC learning English website is a very helpful tool to learn or practice your spoken and written English. It has a lot of features that can do the learning very easy and fun. The articles, the quizzes, the stories and the games help you to learn very fast.

I have always thought that the passive English learning methods are the best for the quick and deep learning of the language. Things like watching a movie without Spanish subtitles or if you prefer without them, playing games in English where the understanding is necessary to keep advancing in the game, reading a book or just trying to make a conversation  in English are the best tools to learn.

On the other side, the grammar and rules are very important too, and that’s the reason because the website is very helpful, because it has the two methods mixed up.
One of the more important things in the learning process is the motivation, and the website accomplishes this requirement in a very good way.

A Little bit of fame

A few months ago my father, my uncle, my cousins and me went to Guadalajara, Mexico for the 2012 Panamerican Games. The Reason of the travel was that my eighteen cousin was part of the diving national team of Chile and we were going to cheer him up in the competition.

While my cousin was training for the competition, me and my family spend a few days in Mexico D.F. those days were awesome. We visit the pyramids and the ancient temples in the city and learnt a lot from the Aztec culture.

In the competition days we had to do the impossible to get tickets, they were sold out but finally we exchanged them for a few pins, Mexicans love competition pins.

The competition was rough and the Mexicans were very good divers, my cousin did his best but he couldn’t be classified to the finals.

He was very sad and we decided to cheer him up giving him a tour in Guadalajara city. When we were walking in the street the people there were very kind and everyone wanted to cheer him up and take a picture with us. They taught us that the only that matters is to do your best.
